Safety Margins: Text and important images must fall within the red boxes. Extending important elements beyond these lines can cause problems during cutting, folding and and assembly. Parts of images or text can end up being trimmed off or fall directly on a fold.

Cut Lines: This is approximately where your art work will be trimmed. Keeping all text and important images inside the 1/8th inch safety margins will prevent their unintended loss during cutting.

Bleeds: This area is going to completely trimmed away during the cutting process. Only solid colors, background images that intentionally run off the page should extend through this area. Having bleeds ensures that your artwork will not have a thin white border around it.

Folds: Be careful when running any text or important image over folds. Text, especially text under 9pt. can be hard to read ifit is falling on a fold.

My real family has some problems but only with one person. Some others had problems and got away from them. For example my great-grandmother used to smoke. I am glad she stopped because I like going over to her house and seeing many of my friends who she used to babysit. On the in-law side of my family I don`t really know what is going but I know I have a good connection with my aunt, uncle, and cousins. I see them sometimes over weekends or days off. Last week we went skating. It was just me and my cousin because he is older than my other cousin. The younger one is 4 and the other one is 11. This is the reason why family is important.

Halftone Pop Dots Tutorial

Step 1: Open your image. Put a selection around the image that you would like to put the pop dots effect behind. Inverse if needed.

Step 2: Press apple+J twice. Put a selection around layer 2.

Step 3: Go under the select menu , under modify, choose expand. Enter 10 pixels and click ok.

Step 4: Press d to switch your swatches to default colors. Option + Delete.

Step 5: Press the letter q to enter quick mask mode. Go to filter, pixelate, and choose color halftone. Click ok.

Step 6: Keep running your filter until you are satisfied with your results. Tap the letter q to leave quick mask mode.

Step 7: Option + Delete. Deselect your image.

Step 4: Press Apple + T. In the options bar change the width and height to 130 %.

Step 5: Click on your original type layer and rasterize it. Click on the top layer and press Apple + E to merge the two layers.

Step 6: To colorize your type, press Apple + U to bring up Hue/Saturation. Click the colorize checkbox and make the hue slider to the color you will like.

For example, if someone is saying is instead of are in their sentences then it might make you get used to it and you will start using that type of language.

Holiday Card Project (In Memory of Delton Brown)

What is the holiday card? The purpose of the the holiday project is to create holiday cards for people who are hospitalized during the holiday season. The idea behind the project is to simply try to bring a little cheer to those who are going under hospital stay.

Exactly who receives the cards? The cards will be distributed to both U.S and international hospitals. The cards will be delivered in-person by a representative. The patients who receive the cards age in range from children to seniors and have illness or injuries that vary from mild to terminal.

What should I write? Be as creative as you`d like. Just remember the degree of illness for patients will vary, so it is important to be cheerful. Some suggested greetings include, " Hope you are feeling better", :Thinking of you", "Have a nice day". Try to stay away from get well soon because that may be inappropriate to some patients. Remember to include the message of "Happy Holidays".

Will the patients know who sent the cards? The only way a patient will know who the card is from is if you sign your name. If you would like to send your card anonymously, you may.

Can I send more than one card? Absolutely! However, remember that quality is better than quantity. Sending one quality card is better than putting two cards together.

Is there a specific size or medium for the card? There is no specific size for the cards. Use your best judgement. You can design and decorate cards by drawing, coloring or painting. You can use glitter, construction paper, cardboard, markers, crayons, color pencils to make your card special. You can also design your card in Photoshop. In Photoshop please use 4*6 or 5*7 for your dimension.

Carved Wood Type Tutorial

Step 1: Click on the gradient tool. In the options bar, click on the gradient thumbnail to bring up the gradient editor. When it appears, double-click on the left color stop. When the color picker appears, click on the custom button, then choose Pantone722, and click okay. Double click on the right color stop, this time choose Pantone 732.

Step 2: In the options bar, click on the radial gradient icon. Using this tool, click-and-drag from the center to the top of the background layer. Go under the filter menu, under noise, choose ADD NOISE. Enter 12% for amount, choose Gaussian, check Monochromatic, and click okay.

Step 3: Then go under the filter menu,under blur, and choose motion blur. Enter 33 for angle and 10 for distance. Now go under the filter menu, under sharpen, and choose unsharp mask. Enter 500% for amount, 9.0 pixels for radius, and 1 for threshold then click ok.

Step 4: Type your text. Go undre the layer menu, under rasterize, and choose Type to convert your Type Layer into a regular image layer.Now under brush strokes, choose sprayed strokes. Type 12 for stroke length, 7 for radius, and right diagonal for direction.

Step 5: Click the magic wand tool. Click once in the first letter of your word. Then go under the select menu and choose Similar to select the rest of the layers. Under the select menu, choose inverse. Now press delete to remove the little chunks of white space around letters created by the brushed strokes filter.

Step 6: Gu under the select menu and choose inverse. Drag your text to the trash layer to delete. Press apple + J to put the selcted background area up on its own layer. In the layers palette, click once on the background layer. Press apple + A, then press delete. Press apple + D to deselect.

Step 7: Click on your text layer. Choose bevel and emboss from the layer styles menu at the bottom of the layers palette. When the dialog box appears, increase the depth to 400% and decrease the size to 4. Increas the highlight opacity to 90%. From the left side of the layer style dialog box, click on the word drop shadow to bring up its options. Increase the size to 8, lower the opacity to 50% and click ok.

Step 8: Choose the lasso tool. Make a thin selection in the center of each letter. Remember to hold down the shift key. Press apple + c to copy. Add a new layer press apple + V to paste. Change the layer mode from normal to color burn.

Step 9: Duplicate your new layer. Now duplicate your duplicated layer. Change the layer mode from color burn to screen. Click on the move tool. Press the right arrow key twice the down arrow key once.

I think that, that is a good proverb. It means if you love someone it is better to be around them. If you are afraid of them you might be unable to tell he or she certain things. If they love you then you will be able to have fun with them. I know if I was afraid of someone that is how I would act.

One example is a movie. This movie gave me the whole idea of this proverb. The movie is called Bronx Tale. There was a character named Sonny. Some people loved him and most people were arfraid of his so they tried to act like they love him. Sonny was a mobster. There was a boy named Colojano. Sonny loved him so much. You have an extra $100,000 to give away. You cannot spend it on yourself. What would you do with the money?

One person I would give half to is my great-grandmother. She is in a nursery home and she probably has a lot of money to pay. I would give it to her so she can get better also. She is always talking about giving money to me when I want her to keep it. I love her and I really hope that she can get out soon not later.

The other person I would give it to is my mom. There is no special reason why I would give it to her. I would just do it because I have to. Like I said it would be no particular reason for it. This is what I would do with the money and these are the people who I would give it to.

Step 1: Set your foreground color to black. Type your text. Rasterize your type layer. Put a selection around your text. Go under the select menu and choose save selection.

Step 2: Deselect your type. Switch your foreground color to white. Under the edit menu choose fill. Change the mode to multiply. Go under filter menu, undre blur, choose Gaussian Blur. Enter 2.5 pixels.

Step 3: Go under the filter menu, under stylize and choose solarize. Press shift + apple + L to run the Auto Levels. Duplicate layer.

Step 4: Filter menu, under distort, choose polar coordinates. Choose polar to rectangular.

Step 5: Go undre the image menu, under Rotate Canvas, choose 90º cw. Invert your image to (Apple +I). Filter menu, choose stylize, choose wind.

Step 6: In wind dialog box choose wind for Method and From the Right for Direction. Run this filter 2 more times by pressing Apple + f twice.

Step 7: Invert your image. Run auto levels. Run the filter 3 more times. Rotate canvas 90º ccw. Filter menu, Distort, choose Polar Coordinates.

Step 8: In Polar coordinates choose Rectangular to polar. Change the layer blend mode from Normal to Screen.

Step 9: Create a new layer. Choose a gradient. Drag your gradient through this layer. Change the blend mode to color. Optional: Ivert your layer.

Step 10: Click on your text layer copy. Filter menu, undre blur, choose radial Blur. In dialog box choose zoom. Increase amount to 66. Click on your original text layer. Select menu, load selection. Choose Alpha I. Change your foreground color to black. Deselect your text.

What is Photoshop? Adobe Photoshop is a professional image editing software.

About the work area.

Menu Bar: this is where you find most features and commands in Photoshop. It is located at the very top of Photoshop.

Option Bar : displays your tool options. It changes as different tools are selected.

Tool Bar : contain alll of your tools. They are used for creating and editing images.

Palettes : to monitor and modify images. There are 5 palettes by default.

Stage/Canvas: where the images being worked on will appear.

Layers: the layers window shows the various layers that your image is made up of.

Selection : there are several ways to select images or portions of images in Photoshop. Here is one basic method to do so. Adding a selection and making a square.

1. Use the rectangular selection tool to select the area to be worked on.

2. To add a selection hold shift before dragging.

3. To make the selection exactly square, start dragging, then hold shift.

4. You can press ctrl + D to deselect and remove the selection at any time.

   It means that knowledge is better than being rich. For example you can get a job if you are smart. Usually you cant get a job if you are not smart. If you are smart you can do things like count money. If you are rich you probably know how to count money, but you have to know how to use it wisely.

   I think my goals are to get on honor roll. Maybe even merit roll. Although I accomplished them last year. Of course I want to do it again.

   I believe the good benefits are the way most of the teachers teach. For example they try to make everything fun for us. In addition my strongest subject is math. However my weakest is social studies and science.
